Steven Liu, MD
Dr. Steven Liu earned his medical degree at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago in 1991. He took his internship and residency at the University of California and continued his residency and fellowship at the University of Washington Medical Center and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center from 1994-1998. Since moving to Alaska in 2005, he established his oncology practice and his affiliation with the Providence Cancer Center. He has also served as chair for the Department of Medicine at the Alaska Regional Hospital. Dr. Liu works full-time at Alaska Oncology and Hematology, where he currently serves as the Principal Investigator.
Jeremy Rosiecki,
PA-C, MPH
Jeremy Rosiecki pursued his Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Alaska, Anchorage, in 2010 and accomplished his Master’s degree in Public Health Science at the same University in 2015. He pursued and finished the MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Program at the University of Washington in 2016. He was previously a certified Histotechnologist (2017) and has broad experience in the fields of Cytology, Histology, and Autopsy. Mr. Jeremy is an active member of the Alaska Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. He has been working in the field of Oncology and Hematology for seven years now. He is a consultant and speaker for multiple pharmaceutical companies.
Stephen Settle, MD,PhD
Dr. Settle completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Davis. While at Davis he conducted extensive research, publishing his work in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and earning the Departmental Citation For Outstanding Student in Genetics. After completing his undergraduate work, he was accepted to the Developmental Biology PhD program at Stanford University. Here Dr. Settle examined the role of growth factors in tissue signaling, which stimulated his interest in cancer research, and in medicine. After completing his PhD, he was awarded the prestigious Canby Robinson Scholarship to attend Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he graduated with a degree in medicine in 2005.
Dr. Settle was the recipient of numerous awards and honors during medical school and after graduating in 2005, he was accepted for Radiation Oncology residency training at the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, completing his residency in 2010. During medical school and residency, Dr. Settle completed research fellowships on cell signaling publishing articles in major medical journals and giving presentations at national meetings.

After residency Dr. Settle was recruited to joint primary academic appointments at MD Anderson in the Department of Radiation Oncology, and Baylor College of Medicine in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology. While in Texas he treated patients, conducted clinical research, ran three brain and spine radiosurgery clinical trials as the Principal Investigator, and taught the resident doctors at both Baylor and MD Anderson, including jointly running the brain stereotactic radiosurgery residency rotation at MD Anderson and serving as the course co-director for the radiobiology course for the Baylor radiation oncology residency program. Dr. Settle has attended numerous national and international cancer meetings, including as an invited speaker.
